Settling The Brown Homestead: The Oldest Home in St. Catharines

Settling The Brown Homestead: The Oldest Home in St. Catharines In-Person

Trace the history of the oldest surviving home in St. Catharines, from Indigenous life in this corner of the region to the arrival of the United Empire Loyalists who completed the John Brown House in 1802. Learn the story of the Brown family, how they came to settle at the edge of the Short Hills, and what went into building their home.

SCPL and the Brown Homestead are offering a series of talks once per month from January through March 2024. Join us for one session or the whole series to learn more about the Brown Homestead.
